Middle grade is underserved in submissions, which makes a strong manuscript easier to notice and harder to fake. The reader is usually 8 to 12, the protagonist needs to sit near that range, and the jeopardy has to feel real without becoming adult. The voice must never talk down. This page shows agents who explicitly represent middle grade. The broad search toggle catches more who'd consider it under children's, junior fiction, YA-adjacent lists, or a wider family list.
