Submission guidelines (on homepage): email first SIX chapters as a Word document attachment and one paragraph about the work and comparisons with 2-3 recently successful authors in the genre; no reading fee. Jarrold ran three SF and fantasy imprints in the UK from 1988 onward and has edited authors including Michael Moorcock, Ken MacLeod, Robert Holdstock, and Guy Gavriel Kay. Current clients include Ramsey Campbell, Philip Palmer, and Neil Williamson. He also operates a separate paid editorial service for fiction and non-fiction, which is entirely distinct from the literary agency.
