Neon Literary

Literary fiction, short stories, novels, narrative nonfiction, immersive journalism, personal essay, pop culture, memoir, anti-lifestyle, adult nonfiction

Wants: Query letter, proposal, manuscript

Kent D. Wolf represents literary fiction, including story collections and novels, and narrative nonfiction in immersive journalism, personal essay, pop culture, memoir, anti-lifestyle, and anything that aims to dismantle prevailing power structures. He is drawn to writing that is bizarre, profane, unsettling, dark, darkly funny, and literary-uncanny, and to writers who move the cultural needle through direct confrontation, self-interrogation, genre blurring, language bending, and strong writing.

Email submissions to submissions@neonliterary.com and specify in the subject line that you are querying Kent. Neon asks for a query letter, proposal, and or or manuscript. Attachments should be compatible with Microsoft Word or Google Docs, or writers may paste the file in the body of the email. Personal emails should be used only when invited.

Anna Sproul-Latimer represents all types of adult nonfiction, from memoir and history to pop culture, science, and parenting, as well as select literary and upmarket fiction. She is drawn to buzzing, bright, curious authors with enthusiasm and national or international audiences, especially books with humor, vulnerability, honesty, refuge, and relief.

Neon Literary represents adult nonfiction and literary fiction for national audiences, accepts Word or Google Docs attachments or pasted pages, and cannot read mail, in-person, or phone queries unless previously agreed for accessibility reasons.

Literary fiction, character-driven genre fiction, nonfiction, science, arts, pop culture, history, current events

Wants: Query letter, proposal, manuscript

On the fiction side, Eloy is especially interested in literary fiction along with character-driven, elevated genre fiction. In nonfiction, Eloy is always eager to be introduced to an under-explored subject, no matter the exact field of study—so long as the writer can make their passion infectious. He's looking for obsessives who can take a single topic and explode it into a vast, multidisciplinary inquiry.

Please send your query letter, proposal, and or or manuscript to submissions@neonliterary.com. Please specify in the subject line of your email whether you are querying Kent, Anna, or Eloy.
