What we found
Aitken Alexander submissions: email submissions@aitkenalexander.co.uk and mark subject line FAO one agent, send cover letter and short synopsis and first three chapters or 50 pages (Word attachments preferred). One agent only, no postal. Agency responds only if pursuing. Recent new talent discovered through the agency's general submissions inbox includes Natasha Brown, Cherie Jones, and Ailsa McFarlane, all of whose work sold to UK, US, and international publishers — a useful signal that the agency genuinely reads unsolicited submissions. Writers should note that simultaneous submissions to other agencies are acceptable but must be disclosed, and any subsequent agent interest received while the manuscript is under consideration should also be flagged.
