Email cover letter in body and attachments. Subject: "Submission: [your name] [TITLE]". Fiction: first 3 chapters or 10k words and short full-book synopsis. Non-fiction: detailed proposal and, if possible, a sample chapter or sample writing. Name the attached files as "[your name] [TITLE] [document type]". Typescript must be 1.5 or double spaced with page numbers. External links will not be opened. No YA, children's, poetry, illustrated books or screenplays, with a few exceptions for existing clients. Submission queries or updates (e.g. to flag other agent interest) go to info@rebeccacarterliterary.com, not the submissions address. Submissions may be directed to Rebecca or to her assistant Tilda, but not both.
