- Looking for
- Megan is drawn to bookclub, upmarket, and literary fiction, with a particular interest in contemporary Irish writers offering new perspectives of Irishness. She enjoys intricate narratives exploring family and relationship dynamics, polyphonic narratives, historical fiction with heart, stories with incisive societal or cultural explorations (especially with a satirical edge), nature-centered fiction, and thoughtful speculative climate fiction. On the commercial side, she appreciates well-paced psychological thrillers and suspense novels with strong, propulsive plots and dark, dubious characters. In non-fiction, she enjoys thought-provoking essay collections, poignant memoirs, and investigative journalism.
